Grilled BC Spot Prawns


  • 1 pound of frozen BC spot prawn tails 🦐
  • 1/2 cup of butter 🧈
  •  6 tbs olive oil 🫒
  • 3 cloves of garlic 🧄
  • salt 🧂
  • pepper


1. Thaw your 1 pound container of frozen BC Spot Prawns

2. Add the prawns to a bowl and dress with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, and pepper

3. Chop 3 cloves of garlic

4. Add 1/2 cup of butter and 4 tablespoons of olive oil to a bowl with the garlic, season with salt and pepper

​5. Cook the butter and garlic on medium heat until simmering, side aside while the prawns are cooking

6. Cook the prawns on the BBQ at medium heat and close the lid for 2 minutes

7. Flip the prawns after 2 minutes and close the BBQ lid again for an additional 2 minutes

8. Reheat the butter and bring to a slow boil

9. Pull the prawns off the BBQ and pour the hot garlic butter on top of the prawns

This recipe is best enjoyed family style during a summer BBQ! The prawns can be added on top of a steak or a salad.  Please be aware that the prawns need to be peeled before eating. Don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty to enjoy these delicious BC Spot Prawns!
